Happy happy 1st birthday to my blog bebe!π
This year’s birthday post was inspired by my girl Gen, aka my spiritual running buddy all the way from Saskatchewan. Haha, *spiritual running buddy* because there’s no *actual* running actually involved. π We share a love of deadlifting heavy and being nice to ourselves. Throughout the years, we’ve corresponded via Instagram DM. Although I’ve never met her in person, I feel like I’ve known her forever because her posts resonate so much with me. Ironically enough, she was also my very first subscriber when I launched this blog on 11/11 last year.
Few months ago, I started listening intently to the teachings of Abraham Hicks and my path has been joyously unfolding ever since. It’s so interesting how I can listen to the same excerpts over and over and pick up different things each time depending on where I’m at emotionally. It was also because of my newfound love for these teachings that I reached out to Gen a few days back and told her how we should co-host a podcast called N & Gen someday. I told her I’d love to broadcast live from Saskatchewan one day and she says she wouldn’t mind coming to Chicago. I suggested that we speak on a tropical island of our choosing. β‘
I speculated that we would catch the attention of Esther and her crew and how our entire podcast would be of us laughing like a bunch of schoolgirls because that’s what I sound like when I tell my stories of perfect alignment. π
Seriously, it brings me so much joy to talk about it in person that I NEED to share this. It was also where I left off in my DM convo with Gen and I figured I would share with her here and tell her that I’m dedicating this first birthday post to her.
Thank you for your support all this time Gen. Here’s to N & Gen and deadlifting heavy together soon. π
Couple Saturdays ago, I randomly walked into a Jersey Mike’s for the first time in my entire life after picking up my protein at the Vitamin Shoppe right next door. I discovered they served this thing called sub-in-a-tub there. It’s basically where they take the filling of any sub and put it on a bed of shredded lettuce with all the seasonings. Right away, I knew that this was the solve to my lunch rut because I can make this fit my Maintenance macros. Boom. #askanditisgiven
I walked through the door and my mom ever so subtly asked me: It’s my birthday, what’re you getting me? Did you get me a wallet? π€ Truth is, I was holding out for the perfect one for her. Several months ago, she fell in love with the one I had because of how functional the design was. It was one of those folding ones with a card slot for ID minus the zip-around. Continental wallets such a pain because of how much junk that gets accumulated in them and FAST. I would’ve gotten her the same one I had but Henri Bendel folded 9 months prior and that type of design is hard to come by. So here I am, the day before my mom’s birthday with no birthday gift YET. π¬π¦
The next day, I made it to the mall with a little under 1.5 hours before close. I was a woman on a mission. I needed a birthday gift for Mom and a pair of closed-toe shoes for me because rosegold Birkenstock could only take me so far in the middle of October in Chicago. /sadface
First stop, Coach store for Mom because I have a thing about matching wallets to purses. I beelined it to their wallets and within 2 minutes, their associate showed me THE MOST PERFECT wallet. It had the exact elements that I was looking for in the wallet that I wanted to gift my mom: functional design, lots of card slots, NO ZIP AROUND, and matched her purse. As it turns out, they had ONE MORE in the back and I was like: I’ll take it! Seriously. In/out of there in under 10 minutes. Then, it was my turn. :):)
I walked into Stuart Weitzman right across the way and found my new favorite pair of sneakers. I learned that day that you assess the fit of a stiletto sandal by looking at how they look in the mirror HEAD ON because the foot floats on top of the shoe. π‘ I love it when I learn something new while I’m shopping. They ran an awesome sale that day and I walked out of there with 3 pairs of shoes in under an hour. βπβ

Next up, it was time to head over to Target for groceries. I thought it was going to be a quick trip so I went to grab myself a basket. When I got there, I saw a man literally wrestling a basket that was stuck to another one. I quickly grabbed one from my stack and handed it to him like: Would you like this one? π He was like: I guess it’s not worth the fight, huh? π€ I’m like: Path of least resistance, man. π
As I grabbed my weekly supply of green beans, ground beef, water enhancer, rice cakes, pretzel crisps…I noticed my basket starting to fill up. Oh well. I’m strong, real-life farmer carry, no big deal. πͺ Then I saw that they ran a sale on Fresca so I grabbed that too. π By now, I’m walking through the store holding a 12-pack of flavored sparkling water under one arm and a full basket of groceries on the other. At that exact moment, their awesome associate Jane sees me and was like: OMG! I need to get you a cart! Basically, she dropped everything she was doing and ran to get me a cart! Like seriously, after the high of finding everything I needed at the mall in under an hour, I have this nice lady at Target going out of her way to be nice to me.
At this point, I’m thinking to myself: The Universe is KNOCKING ITSELF OUT to yield to me! β‘β‘β‘
Right then and there, I found myself in front of the mustard aka the final ingredient I needed for my very own sub-in-a-tub to take me out of my lunch rut. Finally, Jane comes back with a shopping cart for me and I go check out. When I checked out, the total came out to $107.00. How likely is it that you land on an exact amount like that at Target or anywhere?! The dovetailing of events during that segment and that weekend was just PERFECT. It was co-creation at its very best and absolute alignment, right down to my total at the register. π«

Finally, I made it home and handed Mom her birthday gift. I think the best part of all this was being able to tell her that I wasn’t being forgetful with her gift. Rather, I was holding out for the perfect gift for her because I don’t like gifting things that aren’t thoughtful. She seemed to understand or at least I felt like I was able to demonstrate my point gracefully. That was the part that mattered the most to me.
Overall, I must say that that weekend unfolded perfectly because once again, I’ve demonstrated to myself that I attract what I expect. When I’m flying high, I ONLY attract the things that will meet me at my level. (READ: All things that are low vibrational won’t even see you because it’s not a vibrational match.) THIS is what Step 4 (aka getting so good at Step 3) of deliberate creation feels like. Satisfied, satisfied, satisfied. π
Meditate. Quiet the mind. Trust. Receive. π
It is my undying belief that I will romp joyously down my path and watch it light up and be revealed to me at the perfect moment.
Feel good and see what manifests. β‘
Abraham’s teachings have literally changed my life. I’m so pumped that I bought myself a workshop ticket in downtown LA for my birthday in January. I can’t wait to be in the same room with infinite intelligence! I’m gonna manifest getting into the hot seat. Just watch! π€©ππ
