lighthouse in the night

lighthouse lifestyle

I called it months ago.

2021 continues to be the Year of the Level Up

I realize it’s been months since my last post but I promise you, it has been time well-spent. I’ve been letting go of the struggle and doing what feels fun, purposeful, and elevating

As a result, I feel like I’ve finally opened myself up to receiving from the Universe. ✨ A couple of weeks ago, I stumbled upon a really awesome Instagram post about lighthouses. Here we go:

“Lighthouses don’t go running all over an island looking for boats to save; they just stand there shining.” – Anne Lamott

💡💡💡Ding ding ding! Stand back, I’ve figured it out! 💡💡💡
All of the level up tips that I wrote about during Q1 can be categorized under what I call the lighthouse lifestyle. In an epic voice message to one of my friends while I was driving last night, I said,

I’m gonna be a lighthouse! I’m not gonna go out looking for people to save! I’m just gonna shine my light, do my thing, BE HAPPY, and people can guide themselves out of their own messes.

Seriously, I made a lot of peoples’ problems my problems when I really shouldn’t have. It’s not my job to save anyone or carry them across the finish line. ✋🛑

I can only help people in my own alignment anyway, which brings me back to an analogy I introduced in my very first post: There’s a reason why flight attendants tell you to put on your air mask first before helping the person next to you.

…and now, I finally understand why. 💕

Shine bright everyone! ✨
